Spring 2019 Registration for OSA is OPEN

The PTO is proud to offer a variety of FCPS approved vendor enrichment programs held at Spring Hill Elementary.  

Spring Registration for OSA is OPEN from March 7th to April 22th.  Don’t wait, register early!  Class size is limited.

There is NO registration fee for Spring Hill PTO members. Non-members may register for an additional $8 fee per class. You must be a PTO member prior to registering for OSA to receive the member price for classes.

Fine ArtTysons Art & Learning

Hands on fine art classes for students to develop basic visual arts and encourage them to explore artistic capabilities. Taught by experienced teachers, classes give students one to one attention tailored to students who love art.

Little Scholars Programs Little Scholars logo

Newspaper Club

Ladies and Gentlemen! Get it hot off the press! The first edition of the school newspaper needs your help. Students will enjoy this exciting class as they create authentic newspaper stories. As they are transformed into reporters and editors, the students will publish their own school newspaper.

Day/Time: Tuesdays from 7:45 am – 8:45 am

Open to Grades 3 – 6

Design the Runway

Design your very own fashion line with us! Budding designers will create a fashion portfolio, create a one of a kind piece with recyclable goods and end the week with a Runway Show to stop Fashion Week! We will participate in several design challenges too. Come design the runway with us!

This Karate program offers safe, structured training that teaches students the proper form, style and technique. Classes are tailored to student’s individual needs and help them to grow to their fullest potential. Karate not only focuses on instruction, but also provides valuable lessons related to respect, discipline, motivation, self-control, confidence and continual improvement.

*Available to students with Sparring Gear and Orange Belt or Higher ONLY

Debate ClubFairfax Collegiate

This club introduces kids to parliamentary debate. Debate topics are both challenging and directly relevant to the students. Group exercises develop public speaking,critical reasoning,argument construction,rebuttal and evidence presentation skills.

TopNotch Tennis – Tennis 1-2-3 Program TopNotchTennis

This program introduces your child to tennis and helps develop hand-eye coordination, agility, balance and movement, racquet skills and sportsmanship.  We develop the fundamentals strokes of forehand, backhand, volleys and servers using drills and games in a fun, safe and friendly environment.

Robotics Workouts

Stemtree Engineering program uses the wonder and genius of robots to inspire students to learn engineering, apply their knowledge and skills of basic science, model construction, computer programming, and problem solving to explore STEM concepts. This is both a perfect introduction to the world of robotics for younger students and an opportunity to expand the knowledge base of older students.

Coding Workouts

We teach students how to create and develop computer programs (games, stories, etc.) instead of playing them. Students will learn the computer programming concepts in a fun and interactive way. They will combine media elements to create and share their own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art.

Science Workout

Our science program keeps students engaged through our customized science curriculum. It helps students develop scientific literacy. Our students learn the fundamental concepts behind scientific theories and apply them through hands on activities and experiments. Each student will take an initial assessment the first day of the program to gauge his or her level and create a customized learning program. He or she works through individualized lessons with the one-on-one guidance of an instructor and conduct hands-on activities.

Day/Time: Thursday from 3:45 – 4:45 pm
