Spring Registration for OSA is OPEN from March 7th to March 22th.  Don’t wait, register early!  Class size is limited.

There is NO registration fee for Spring Hill PTO members. Non-members may register for an additional $8 fee per class. You must be a PTO member prior to registering for OSA to receive the member price for classes.

Welcome all Roald Dahl fans!  This is a class to learn about who Roald Dahl was, the books he wrote, and of course, read his books.  A few books we may read include Esio Trot, James and the Giant Peach, Fantastic Mr Fox, and The Twits. Come explore this wonderful and mystical author with us.

Yoga

This class is for kids in grades K-5 develops focus, flexibility, strength, and coordination through a variety of yoga poses, stories, music, sing a longs, drawings and games. These classes enhance energy while teaching children how to remain calm and centered. Children learn basic yoga movements in a fun, relaxed setting, which always promotes doing their personal best in a non-competitive environment. *Only item needed is a yoga mat/towel, but children can participate without one*

Ultimate Dance Fitness

Kids in grades K-5 will follow along with the teacher to songs and dances, use finger lights to create a glow in the dark theme for part of the class, plays games that include limbo sticks, balloons, parachutes, pom poms, freeze dance, 4 corners dance style, balloon relay races, Congo line dancing, and more! This ultimate fun fitness class uses kid friendly music and combines parts of our Zumba and glow light dance party classes and adds even more fun and games to the mix.

Fine ArtTysons Art & Learning

Hands on fine art classes for students to develop basic visual arts and encourage them to explore artistic capabilities. Taught by experienced teachers, classes give students one to one attention tailored to students who love art.

Little Scholars Programs

Newspaper Club

Ladies and Gentlemen! Get it hot off the press! The first edition of the school newspaper needs your help. Students will enjoy this exciting class as they create authentic newspaper stories. As they are transformed into reporters and editors, the students will publish their own school newspaper.

Design the Runway

Design your very own fashion line with us! Budding designers will create a fashion portfolio, create a one of a kind piece with recyclable goods and end the week with a Runway Show to stop Fashion Week! We will participate in several design challenges too. Come design the runway with us!

Creative Writing Club – Kondé Strategies

In Creative Writing Club, students will use their imaginations, enjoy writing, and laugh a lot. In past years, students’ favorite activities included developing fantasy and science fiction stories, writing and performing skits, and developing their plots, characters, and settings. When writing, students will learn to capture each moment, create images in the reader’s mind, and elicit connection and evoke emotion from the reader, among other skills we will hone.

Robotics Workouts

Stemtree Engineering program uses the wonder and genius of robots to inspire students to learn engineering, apply their knowledge and skills of basic science, model construction, computer programming, and problem solving to explore STEM concepts. This is both a perfect introduction to the world of robotics for younger students and an opportunity to expand the knowledge base of older students.

Coding Workouts

We teach students how to create and develop computer programs (games, stories, etc.) instead of playing them. Students will learn the computer programming concepts in a fun and interactive way. They will combine media elements to create and share their own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art.

Science Workout

Our science program keeps students engaged through our customized science curriculum. It helps students develop scientific literacy. Our students learn the fundamental concepts behind scientific theories and apply them through hands on activities and experiments. Each student will take an initial assessment the first day of the program to gauge his or her level and create a customized learning program. He or she works through individualized lessons with the one-on-one guidance of an instructor and conduct hands-on activities.

Secret Science Agents

In our forensic science program, kids learn to be secret spies! We will dust for fingerprints, build booby traps, create disguises, write secret codes, see around corners, listen through walls, discover evidence and lots more! Educational value: creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork, chemistry, physics, life science, engineering and forensics

Engineering Mania – Towers

For a child who likes to think outside the box and build various contraptions, this is the perfect class! The Little Engineers will utilize their creativity, out of box thinking to build and test various towers using a variety of materials such as toothpicks, straws, foil and more. In each class session, there will be a challenge to build a tower with certain conditions or features using different materials and constraints on material. The engineers will work in teams to solve the challenges. Educational value: Creative thinking, design, engineering, physics and teamwork
