What is Bids for Kids?
Bids for Kids is the PTO’s online auction that was designed to replace the Fun Fair tradition of auctioning off class-created gift baskets. Our auction comes to life through generous donations of goods, services, gift cards, and much more by local businesses and Spring Hill parents. These items are then made available for our greater school community to bid on electronically.
This year’s Bids for Kids will consist of three opportunities to support the school:
- Online Auction – open Sunday, January 29th through February 4th. Get a sneak a peek at our ever growing auction catalog. (Insider’s tip: we add many new items daily!)
- “Bid from the Heart” Event – an adults-only evening of fun, food and fundraising on Saturday, February 4 at 6:30pm at the McLean Community Center. Tickets are on sale now through February 1. Each ticket allows entry into our Bid from the Heart fundraiser, complete with catered bites, cocktails, deejayed music, a wine pull, paddle raise, and a live auction!
- Bids for Kids’ Bingo Night – a family-friendly FUNdraising event on Friday, February 10th from 6-8:30pm
We need everyone’s help to make this fundraiser a success! Proceeds from these events will be utilized at the school through appropriations and continued support towards technology upgrades, educational enhancements, field trips, cultural arts events, teacher/staff support, and facility improvements.
