PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
Dear Spring Hill Families,
It is with great regret that the PTO, working with Principal Aiello, has decided to POSTPONE this Saturday’s Fun Fair as a precautionary measure related to the Covid-19 virus. While there haven’t been any specific concerns about our school, or any Fairfax County school as of today, given that Fun Fair brings in numerous parent, middle and high school volunteers, as well as children and families of all ages, we do not want to contribute to an environment that might unintentionally lead to the introduction of the virus.
We are disappointed that we have had to come to this decision and want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Fun Fair Committee Chairs, Stacy Kerzner and Archana Dcosta, who have worked tirelessly to pull together an event that we know is always one of the most fun days of the year at Spring Hill. Thank you to all the committee chairs and members who have donated their time and effort to prepare for the event and a special thank you to the many parent volunteers who have signed up to help.
We are in the process of determining the best path forward in terms of postponement logistics. Please be patient as this is a first for us and a very fluid situation. Thanks for your understanding!
Please see below for further information.

What To Do About Tickets?
Online presales were distributed yesterday to your children’s teachers, and in addition, some tickets were purchased in the front lobby and Door 7 area on Tuesday. Please know that these same tickets will be valid at our rescheduled event! Put them somewhere safe! And any tickets already placed in the Prize Raffle Boxes will be secured in the boxes until the rescheduled event.
Fun Fair is one of the most celebrated and largest fundraisers of the year. All proceeds directly influence our ability to help our Spring Hill community. So thank you to everyone who has already made their ticket purchases! For those of you who did not purchase your tickets yet, we will again sell tickets at school the week before and the day of the rescheduled event.
Please be patient as we navigate this situation and make adjustments as we receive more information. If necessary, ticket refund information will be distributed at a later date. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our PTO Treasurer, Jennifer McCarthy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep Fun Fair Spirit Going Strong!
We encourage your children to celebrate the spirit of Spring Hill by continuing to show your school spirit throughout the week. Thursday will still be Wacky Hair Day and Friday is Spring Hill Spirit Day. Online t-shirt purchases are going home today with your children and they can wear them or any Maroon and Gold to celebrate Spring Hill Spirit!
We are evaluating whether it is feasible to continue with the Fun With Faculty Experience Raffle and we will notify you when final decisions have been made.
Cake Decorating Contest
We will be canceling the Cake Decorating Contest on Friday but keep those cake designs ready for the rescheduled event!
Please contact our Fun Fair Committee Chairs at email@example.com or a PTO Executive Board Member with any questions.
