Taste of Spring Hill – A Cultural Celebration

“Taste of Spring Hill” (TOSH) is a special event to celebrate the amazing diversity and cultural heritage at our school. We encourage all families to share their culture in a night of food, decor, and performances.

In past years, we have been thrilled to offer foods from around the world prepared by our very own Spring Hill families.  We would love to have as many countries and cuisines represented as possible so please sign up to share your culinary talents with the school community!

This year, we will also transform the cafeteria into a cultural showcase with flags, decor, games, pictures and posters from different countries and cultures.  

Here are some options to showcase your culture:
-Make a poster showing the amazing cities to visit in your country.  
-Drape your table with a beautiful flag or colorful scarf.
-Display a dress or costume from your culture.
-Set up a game for the kids to play that is popular in another country.
-Bring in pictures from your travel adventures.
-Don’t miss this opportunity for our Spring Hill community to try new and delicious food and learn about the cultural heritage of our families. 

This PTO event is FREE but it is not a drop off event – Parents must accompany children.

Parent Chefs – I would like to share a dish!
The PTO is looking for some parent chefs to share cuisine reflecting their cultural heritage.  It may be a favorite dish from your home country, a dish you grew up with, or a family favorite.  It can be a main dish, side dish, appetizer, dessert, or beverage. 

All dishes must be clearly labeled with ingredients to keep this event safe for everyone. If possible, please put each piece in an individual container like a small cup or muffin liner.  Nuts are allowed for this event as long as they are clearly labeled. Please refrain from bringing culturally ambiguous foods such as cotton candy, popcorn, etc.)

Cultural Decor – I would like to share cultural pictures, costumes, games, etc. during TOSH!
If cooking is not your thing, no worries.  You can share your heritage through cultural decor and games to share with families during TOSH.

Please fill out this sign up to indicate if you will bring food or cultural decor so that we can plan table space accordingly. The form will remain open until November 11, 2025 – early submissions are appreciated so we have time to prepare flag stickers for your booth.
